University of South Florida receives a grant for dementia prevention

Researchers at the University of South Florida have received a grant for dementia prevention from the National Institutes of Health or NIH.

According to an email media release from the University of South Florida, researchers are continuing their analysis of dementia prevention through a clinical research study called “Active Mind.” The five-year grant will examine “whether computerized brain training can reduce the risk of dementia such as Alzheimer’s disease.” To qualify as a volunteer for this study you must be 65 years or older or have mild cognitive damage.
