According to the Florida Division of Elections website, three Democrats have qualified to run for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated next year by Marco Rubio.

Two Democrats who are not yet on the list are getting the most attention. Congress member Patrick Murphy from the east coast has announced he is running and has garnered many establishment endorsements. Orlando-area U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson is testing the waters and raising funds.

Recently WMNF News’ Sean Kinane spoke with one of the three Democrats already in the race for U.S. Senate, Lateresa Jones.
