This Saturday, October 24  USF St. Pete will be hosting The Tampa Bay Times Festival of Reading from 10 AM – 4 PM. It is truly an extraordinary opportunity to meet and hear a plethora of authors – and there is a Q and  A after each presentation so you can ask your own questions.  The lineup includes national and international, state and local authors – something for everyone.

Thursday we will be talking with two authors DIANE ROBERTS, and CYNTHIA BARNETT.

Often called the “Molly Ivins of Florida,”  FSU professor Diane Roberts will discuss her book Tribal: College Football and the Secret Heart of America  (psst…we just might mention Jameis Winston). Diane Roberts will speak at 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 24 in the Barnes Pavilion, at the Poynter Institute.

University of Florida Professor of Environmental Journalism, CYNTHIA BARNETT  will discuss her truly fascinating book Rain: A Natural and Cultural History.  It is a beautiful comprehensive view of the heart of climate change.  From perfumes to rain makers, it’s hard to imagine how hard we have fought against the very elixir of life.

Tune into From a Woman’s POV live on 10/22 at 10 am.
