During the last 12 months or more, it has been so hard to not do a show with some kind of reference to Trump.

For this edition of Life Elsewhere, we are taking a break from another search for a clever, witty take on the absurdity that is Trump, instead, we present three female authors with three must-read books. As the Women’s March(s) get underway and the #mMeToo movement brings much-needed attention to how women are treated in this country, there are other parts of the world women live in repressive and segregated societies.

Author and journalist, Katherine Zoepf takes us into the minds of young Arab women in her book, Excellent Daughters: The Secret Lives of Young Women Who Are Transforming the Arab World
