When discussing the minimum wage, a frequent question that is posed is whether an wage hike would result in job losses. Today we talk with researchers Ben Wilcox and Alan Stonecipher of Integrity Florida, a non-partisan research institute that released a report yesterday that looked at U.S. labor department statistics on wages across the country, and determined that raising the minimum wage does not cause job loss. Although the report stops short of saying an increase would result in job growth, it claims states that increase wages for low-pay workers saw more job creation.
