A pilot program for a passenger ferry between the downtowns of Tampa and St. Petersburg moved a step closer to reality Tuesday; the Pinellas County Commission agreed to set aside $350,000 to help fund the six-month program. It joins St. Pete and Hillsborough County, which have each agreed to contribute that amount.
Last Friday I asked Pinellas County Commissioner Janet Long whether she supports the ferry.
