MidPoint for Thursday, Jan 18 – Preview of St. Pete Women March; Former St. Pete City Councilman Karl Nurse

Share

This Sunday activists involved with last year’s Women’s March in St. Petersburg will be commemorating the occasion by holding another major rally, this time in Williams Park in downtown from 12:30-4:30 p.m.

Joining us on the program to discuss the event were Lisa Perry and Lakeisha Black, two of the organizers of the event.

Later in the show we then talked about a variety of issues going on in St. Pete with former City Councilman Karl Nurse, who stepped down from his District 6 seat earlier this month after serving for more than nine years on the board.

You can listen to the show here.

Why is the March on Sunday, instead of Saturday? Most anniversary matches are on Saturday
