Home Solar Versus Utilities on the Sustainable Living Show

Share

On today’s Sustainable Living program we talked with three guests about renewable energy (RE) home power systems, ways to save electricity and other issues related to living on less fossil fuel. Our guests were the senior editor for Home Power Magazine, Ian Woofenden; Jim Parrish, a technical support specialist for MidNite Solar, maker of products for the renewable energy industry; and John Gambil with Hot Wire Enterprises in Tarpon Springs, a supplier and installer of RE products. The discussion was about new batteries, Florida’s amendment on third party solar systems, utility companies push back on net metering, and solar electric in rainy weather.
