The May 11, 2015 Sustainable Living Program was on bicycling, walking friendly cities and the Cyclovia event taking place in Temple Terrace May 17. Cyclovia is a worldwide movement that closes the streets to cars for one day so people can enjoy the cities in a whole new way. Our guests included Michael Dunn, Public Information Officer with the City of Temple Terrace; Stephen Benson, Bicycle/Pedestrian Safety Coordinator at FDOT; and Julie Bond, Sr. Researcher at USF’s Center for Urban Transportation. We also talked with Gods Petal Power Ministry founder Mike Olson about his bicycle ministry. Great person doing good stuff! www.godspetalpower.org Julie is also the cofounder of Tampa BayCycle and WalkWise Tampa Bay. You can also learn more about shipping your bike with Luggage Forward if you wish to provide your own bike.
