Environmentalists who support clean energy, oppose dirty fuels and say no to offshore drilling will join Hands Across the Sand this Saturday at beaches in Pinellas County and elsewhere. The guest on WMNF News’ MidPoint, , Lisa Hinton is with Suncoast Sierra Club. She’s helping to organize Hands Across the Sand on Treasure Island this Saturday.

We also spoke with artist John Quigley, founder of Spectral Q, who will create an art installation.

The current Shell Oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico — about 88,000 gallons have been spilled.
