Florida Governor Rick Scott recently put out a press release last week saying that the American Legislative Exchange Council had given Governor Scott a rating as one of the “best” governor’s in the US for his 2016 State of the State address. In that address the governor said “…. We must keep doing what’s worked the last five years, to help Floridians get a job and live their dreams, and keep cutting taxes.” On Radioactivity Tuesday, Host Rob Lorei spoke with one of the author’s of the analysis, Jonathan Williams, vice president of the ALEC Center for State Fiscal Reform.To get another view we spoke with Lisa Graves, Executive Director of the Center for Media and Democracy, a national watchdog group. CMD’s niche is investigating and exposing the undue influence of corporations on public policy. She previously served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice and in other posts.
