A Message from WMNF General Manager Craig Kopp

We’re back!!!!!!!

Yup, it’s that time of year again – Fall Fund Drive time.

For the next week we are going to interrupting programming on WMNF as little as possible to ask you to make a pledge of monetary support to your community conscious radio station.

Fun fact – WMNF gets about 70 per cent of its operating money from listener contributions. That’s amazing! But that also means we need to ask you three times a year to continue that support… or even increase it if you can.

Our goal this drive is $240,000.

Every time I look at that number I think… it can’t be done. And every time WMNF listeners and supporters prove me wrong.

That’s the pure beauty of community radio. We do our best to give you what you want. And you do your best to make sure we have the money to operate.

Lots of people talk about the future of radio. I believe with all my heart that the future of Tampa Bay radio is right here at WMNF. You cannot get more local than all volunteer programmers making great radio for their friends and neighbors.

If you’ve got friends and neighbors that don’t know about the hand-crafted, independent miracle that is WMNF – turn them on to it now. And encourage them to make a pledge this week is support of a truly unique Tampa Bay institution.

Thanks in advance for your support this week.  We literally can’t do it without you!
