Can Tampa handle the consequences of climate change ?

Tropical Storm Colin lashed Tampa Bay earlier this week, causing flooding, road and bridge closures, and forcing some local cities to release raw and partially treated sewage into local waterways. Amid rising sea levels and increased rainfall, the results of global warming as scientists have predicted, can Tampa bay handle the effects of climate change?

Our guest on Radioactivity Thursday was  Sabrina McCormick, a public health professor at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University,  who found in a recent study she conducted that Tampa fared worst than Portland, Boston, Los Angeles, Raleigh, and Tucson in climate change preparedness. McCormick explained how she measured preparedness in her study and how Tampa can do better in addressing climate change.
