Crowds protest Trump in Tampa before speech

At the site of a proposed Trump Tower that was never built, crowds protest Donald Trump before his Tampa speech. By Laila Abdelaziz, used by permission. 14 March 2016.

Donald Trump was interrupted several times by protesters as he spoke Monday at the Tampa Convention Center; outside anti-Trump demonstrators and supporters of the billionaire businessman traded words. On MidPoint we interviewed one organizer of the anti-Trump rally, Kevin O’Hare — a student at the University of Tampa.

Trump was introduced by Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, who called protesters “thugs” egged on by the media.

We also played recent clips by the Democratic presidential candidates before Tuesday’s presidential preference primary in Florida. During the Democratic Presidential Town Hall Sunday night on CNN former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton clarified her view that the prison at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba should be closed.

Last Thursday, before he traveled to a Tampa rally, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders spoke to several thousand people in the mid-day heat in a field near Kissimmee in Osceola County, south of Orlando. Sanders spoke about issues important to the growing population of Puerto Ricans in Central Florida. In addition, he got one of his loudest ovations when he said there should be more solar power in Florida and no fracking or offshore oil drilling.

Here’s video shot by an activist inside the Trump rally posted on Facebook:

The fascists will not relinquish control without a Soros-funded-oligarch/ruling class corporate media attack.
