Our first guest on Radioactivity is former radio journalist Diane Seligsohn, who is commitee chair of the St.Petersburg Conference on World Affairs, which feature panels with diplomats, military, media, and academic experts discussing urgent matters in world politics such as the refugee crisis, universal healthcare, and diplomatic relations with Cuba and Venezuela. Also joining us from the conference is panelist Tom Shephard, a San Francisco based filmmaker who is working on a documentary about LGBT refugees who are seeking asylum in the US. The conference will be held at the Student Center of USF. St.Petersburg from February 17th-19th and it is Free to the public.
Then we are joined with Tampa Bay Times political editor Adam Smith, who got an exclusive interview with Donald Trump as the controversial presidential candidate left a 10,000 person campaign rally at the USF Sundome on Friday. Smith touches on some of Trump’s thoughts on Cuban immigration, his rivals Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush, and Gov. Rick Scott.
