Today we are have an interview with Molly McCartney, a veteran journalist and author of  America’s War Machine: Vested Interests, Endless Conflicts, a book she co-wrote with her late husband, journalist James McCartney, about the growth and power of the military industrial complex since the Cold War. Today she talks us through the mechanisms of the defense industry’s power in Washington and how it perpetuated continuous warfare around the world that is not necessarily making anyone safer. McCartney will be speaking about her book in at the Waldemere Firehouse Community Room in Sarasota tonight at 7pm.
