Sustainable Seafood & Freezes on the Sustainable Living Program

On Monday’s WMNF Sustainable Living Radio Program we covered two topics.

First part was sustainable seafood with two Florida Sea Grant Agents from the Tampa Bay region: Libby Carnahan and Angela Collins, and local restaurateur Ed Chiles. We discussed the benefits of purchasing Florida seafood at the market, when out at a restaurant–or better yet–catching it yourself.

Our second topic was about the recent freezes and the effects on our landscapes here in the Tampa Bay area. Lynn Barber, Hillsborough County’s Florida Friendly Extension Agent, brought a team of co-workers to talk about those brown plants. Definitely a good program to listen to if you missed it.
