Florida Legislators want governor to help Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria

Some Florida Legislators are pressing Governor Rick Scott to prepare for an influx of refugees from Puerto Rico settling in Florida after Hurricane Maria; Miami Democratic State Representative Robert Asencio says the situation on the island is grim. He and five colleagues sent Scott a letter saying the governor should prepare temporary and permanent housing, public health services, the education sector and transitional services for professional and skilled workers coming from Puerto Rico to get jobs when they arrive.
