On Radioactivity Monday we listen back to the latest Florida This Week, an politcal discussion show from WEDU that is also hosted by Rob Lorei. This week we discuss: The primary election is Tuesday and we’ll look at some of the big races; Donald Trump campaigns in Tampa and again takes a tough stand on immigration; The governor will pressure Washington to do more to help the state fight the Zika outbreak; A USF study suggests that police cameras might reduce violence.

Then on the eve of election day for the primary races, we talk about voter supression with Dr. Bennie Small president of the Hillsborough chapter of the NAACP. At a press conference earlier today U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (D-FL14) and representatives from the NAACP and ACLU said that Florida remains the epicenter of the most effective voter suppression measure in the country, often against people people who have been incarcerated. In addition, 2016 will be the first presidential election in 50 years without the full protections of the Voting Rights Act.

Given that both the Democratic and Republican Party are bought and owned by the same element of the super-wealthy who are attempting to control both the American People, the bulk of the USA’ productivity in economic matters and our nation’s natural resources, it is not to very unusual that our elections are manipulated and election results falsified . . . Florida led the nation in 2000 and intends to lead again this year. However, the American People may not roll over like they did for George jr. Bush whose family paved the way through the U.S. Supreme Court republican majority on a partisan 5 to 4 vote to declare him the winner of an illegal election followed by an improper use of the U.S. Supreme Court. Remember, this is precisely who led the United States people to instigated the ongoing Middle East Wars in 2003, following in his Daddy’s footsteps with the Iranian hostages in 1979; the Iran-Contra Wars; Grenada; Panama; invading Kuwait to save the family ‘s oil businesses revenues, the resulting attack on Iraq . . . moving to the 1992 election of Billy Clinton who previously got to know George when he did business with the CIA and Bush sr., moving cocaine into Mena, Arkansas from Panama, then on into the black inner city communities of California. George jr. Bush followed Billy in 2000, American Voters were directed to place-holder Barack Obama, to provide some needed color and a “cooling off’ figure in Washington D.C. while letting the Great Depression takes it’s toll of the people’s resources and quell the revolutionary ardor growing within the American People. Now we are back to Hillary to take her “rightful” place as “Queen of America” as the Democrats and Republicans promised back in 2008. Funny thing happened on the way to the election year ballot box to vote this year, however . . . Bernie Sanders came along and the American People found a leader not only to follow, but to lead on themselves, throwing out the incumbent bums in public office and beginning fresh and new in America, all over again. The peoples’ peaceful “political revolution” . . . our Revolution!
